All world geometry exists off screen. Only the viewable gameplay is rendered. This technique drastically cuts down on polycount, improves performance for mobile chipsets, and allows for potentially endless experiences.

Vertical and Horizontal Movement

The world can also be traversed vertically, both underground and into the sky above.
